Certifications

RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil)

The RSPO is a global multi-stakeholder initiative driving the transformation toward sustainable palm oil through robust standards, independent verification, and supply chain accountability. Permata Group has been an RSPO member since 2006. Our downstream facilities hold full RSPO Supply Chain Certification System (SCCS) certification to deliver certified sustainable oil, while our plantations and palm oil mills have secured RSPO Principles & Criteria (P&C) certification.

ISPO (Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil)

ISPO is Indonesia’s mandatory national sustainability standard established by the Ministry of Agriculture to ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and socio-economic regulations across the palm oil sector. We have secured ISPO certifications for our mills and estates, with remaining units actively progressing toward certification in line with our timebound plans under the latest regulations.

ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System)

ISO 14001 specifies requirements for an effective Environmental Management System (EMS), providing a structured framework to manage environmental responsibilities, reduce resource waste, and continually improve environmental performance. Permata Group implements ISO 14001 across our plantations and manufacturing facilities to systematically control waste management, water consumption, and emission reductions in compliance with global best practices.

ISO 9001 (Quality Management System)

ISO 9001 is the world’s leading quality management standard, establishing criteria for continuous operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and rigorous quality assurance processes. Permata Group has implemented ISO 9001 across our administrative and operational facilities to maintain standardized quality controls, operational consistency, and process excellence.

ISO 22000 & FSSC 22000 (Food Safety Management Systems)

ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification) integrate HACCP principles and prerequisite programs to guarantee complete food safety and hygiene management across the food supply chain. These standards are applied and certified across our downstream refineries and cooking oil processing plants to ensure all edible palm oil derivatives, cooking oils, and specialty fats meet international food safety.

GMP+ (Good Manufacturing Practices Feed Safety)

GMP+ Feed Safety Assurance is an international certification standard that guarantees the safety, hygiene, and traceability of animal feed ingredients and animal nutrition products. This standard is applied to our Palm Kernel Expeller (PKE) and co-product manufacturing lines, ensuring animal feed raw materials meet global trade and animal nutrition safety standards.

Halal Certification

Halal certification confirms that manufacturing processes, ingredients, and storage systems strictly comply with Islamic Sharia law guidelines under the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH). We are certified across all cooking oil, margarine, shortening, and downstream edible palm product lines to serve domestic and international Muslim consumer markets.

Kosher Certification

Kosher certification verifies that food products, refining procedures, and processing equipment strictly conform to Jewish dietary laws, verified through regular rabbinic inspections. We have achieved Kosher Certification for our refineries and processing facilities, allowing us to export certified kosher palm derivatives worldwide.

BPOM & SNI (Indonesian National Product Standards)

BPOM approval guarantees that our packaged food products comply with strict national food safety, labeling, and distribution regulations. SNI (Standar Nasional Indonesia) ensures our cooking oils and edible palm products consistently meet mandatory Indonesian national quality and purity standards.

SMK3 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System)

SMK3 is Indonesia’s national mandatory health and safety standard regulated by the Ministry of Manpower, equivalent to international ISO 45001:2018 standards for workplace safety and health excellence. Demonstrating our unwavering commitment to employee safety and operational integrity, 100% of Permata Group’s business units have achieved SMK3 Gold Flag.

At Permata Group, our pursuit of excellence extends beyond business operations to driving meaningful environmental stewardship, energy efficiency, and industrial sustainability. We are proud to be recognized by national and international bodies for our leadership in renewable energy and green operations.

Our subsidiary, PT Pelita Agung Agrindustri, was named the winner in the Combined Heat and Power (CHP) category at the prestigious ASEAN Renewable Energy Project Awards 2025. This honor highlights our innovative use of palm oil biomass to power downstream refineries and biodiesel facilities, directly contributing to regional decarbonization and supporting Indonesia’s commitments toward a sustainable energy future.

The Subroto Award is the highest honor presented by Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) for achievements in the bioenergy sector. In 2025, Permata Group entities received top honors across multiple categories:

Bioenergy Power Plant Developer (Pengembang Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Bioenergi)

PT Pelita Agung Agrindustri (Duri): Highest Honor (Piagam Aditama) and Trophy presented directly by the Minister of ESDM. This marks the second consecutive year that the Duri facility has won Highest Honor in this category.
PT Permata Hijau Sawit (Manantí): Awarded Piagam Utama.
PT Permata Hijau Indonesia (Hutalombang): Awarded Piagam Pratama.

Conferred by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), Permata Group’s operating facilities consistently achieve the PROPER Biru (Blue) rating, while some of our subsidiaries have also been awarded the PROPER Hijau (Green) rating. This achievement reflects operational performance that goes beyond mandatory regulatory compliance through proactive waste reduction, energy conservation, water management, GHG emission reduction and community development programs.
