Our corporate strategy operates in strict alignment with the No Deforestation, No Peat, and No Exploitation (NDPE) framework. This framework applies to our own operations, concessions, and managed facilities, and forms the requirement for all third-party suppliers within our supply chain.

No Deforestation

No Peat

No Exploitation
Sustainability is integrated directly into our business strategy. As a fully integrated palm oil company, we recognize that our success is inherently linked to the health of our environment, welfare of our employees and prosperity of local communities. To ensure transparent governance, our environmental and social commitments are structured across five specific corporate policies.
Sustainability Policy
At the heart of our policies lies our sustainability policy. First introduced in 2015, it has undergone continuous improvement to keep pace with the ever evolving landscape of sustainability, reflecting new challenges, insights, and global priorities as they emerge.

Human Rights Policy
We are committed to providing a safe, equitable, and healthy environment for all people across our operations and supply chains, adhering to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and International Labour Organization (ILO) standards.

Labor Protections
Strict prohibition of forced labor, debt bondage, modern slavery, and child labor. We respect freedom of association and ensure all employment contracts are transparent and legally sound.

Community & Customary Rights
We respect the land, legal, and customary rights of local and indigenous communities. No development occurs without securing Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC).

Grievance & Redress
We provide a functional, transparent, and completely confidential grievance mechanism allowing internal workers and external stakeholders to report compliance breaches or raise disputes safely and anonymously.

Ethics Policy
Permata Group operates with an absolute commitment to corporate integrity, transparent governance, and fair business dealings.

Anti-Corruption
Zero tolerance for bribery, fraud, extortion, or conflicts of interest at any tier of management or supplier interaction.

Responsible Business Practices
Conducting business ethically, upholding fair market competition, and ensuring clear financial accountability.

Whistleblowing System
Secure, accessible channels are provided to report ethical violations, guaranteeing full anonymity and protection from retaliation for all whistleblowers.

Environmental Policy
We will protect the environment through proactive conservation, strict climate management, minimizing footprint and responsible resource usage.

Deforestation-Free Commitments
Prohibition of land development within High Conservation Value (HCV) and High Carbon Stock (HCS) areas.

Peatland Management
No new development on peatland, regardless of depth. Our existing peat will be managed in accordance with RSPO Best Management Practices (BMP) to eliminate fire risk and mitigate subsidence.

Zero Burning
Strict enforcement of a zero-burning policy for all land preparation, replanting, and agricultural processes.

3R Waste & Chemical Protocols
Active implementation of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (3R) programs. Organic biomass is recycled back into the fields to enrich soil health, and we prohibit the use of Paraquat and WHO Class 1a & 1b hazardous chemicals.

Climate & Circular Solutions
Minimizing greenhouse gas emissions via methane capture facilities at our mills to generate renewable energy. We actively monitor and optimize our production lines to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emission intensity and freshwater usage.

Responsible Sourcing Policy
To secure full chain accountability, our strict environmental, ethical, and social criteria apply outside our own organizational boundaries.

Supplier Compliance Reporting
All third-party fresh fruit bunch (FFB) suppliers, outgrowers, and external processors must verify compliance with our NDPE criteria.

Supply Chain Risk Assessment
Utilizing specialized supplier and risk-mapping tools to evaluate supplier practices, ensuring full accountability.

Engagement & Inclusion
We engage constructively with suppliers, including smallholders and other outgrowers into our sustainable supply chain through capacity building.
