NDPE IRF Profile

NDPE IRF (No Deforestation, No Peat, No Exploitation Implementation Reporting Framework) is a tool developed by Palm Oil Collaboration Group (POCG) to systematically assess supplying mills’ progress on implementing No Deforestation, No Peat and No Exploitation commitments. The tool classifies the supplying mills into one of six categories : Unknown, Known, Awareness, Commitments & Starting Action, Progressing, and Delivering.

NDPE IRF has been evolving through the years with the latest version 6.0 released in 2025. This version introduces a more rigorous links to Deforestation and Conversion-Free (DCF) principles and more structured view of progress by segmenting reporting across own managed plantations, independent plantations, and independent smallholders. The updated framework also introduces more stringent requirements for third-party traceability, moving from a general “sourcing area” approach to the use of specific polygons. In addition, it provides enhanced analytical tools, such as the minimum smallholder deforestation layer, to support more robust risk analysis and evaluation.
