Permata received news from the media (Mongabay) that 48 men were locked up in barred cells and working for no pay on an oil palm plantation owned by Terbit Rencana Perangin Angin, the head of Langkat district and owner of PT. Dewa Rencana Perangin Angin. Permata started an investigation and reached out to PT. Dewa Rencana Perangin Angin.
